Oh my.
I took them on a nice, long walk today and Padfoot found the most awful, smelly, horrible mud pit to roll around in. Just like a pig. When I finally coaxed him out he decided that would be the best time to roll in the dirt on the trail. Just to really grind it in, you know? I spent the rest of the walk trying to keep him away from everything and everyone, but not actually touching him. What a mess.
I half entertained the idea of placing a "dog for sale" add in the paper all the way home. I mean I love him and all, but this was a bit too much.
I gave him a nice (although ice cold) bath when we got home while Ethan watched and laughed from the stroller. I'm sure they were making plans to do this kind of thing often when Ethan gets just a bit bigger.
Oh my.
To make this all worse I came home to find a big Padfoot sized smear of mud and sludge on the couch tonight. I guess I missed a spot. And no, he's not supposed to be on the couch.
Oh my.
If you ever put Padfoot up for adoption, I'll come and get him!
Also, you need to make that photo of Aubrey and Ethan into an 11 by 14 print and frame it!
