Summer in the Yukon. The wildflowers are out. It started with arctic lupine. Then came the labrador tea. I even saw a fireweed coming up today. Now that means summer is not just here but well on it's way. This is my third summer in the Yukon. I'm not sure that I will ever get used to how fast the summer flies by. The winter crawls by very slowly but the summer is filled with activity and just passes in a blur. And you can track the progress by the wildflowers. I'm sure that the wildflowers will forever be one of my favorite things about living in the Yukon. The higher you climb into the mountains, the better they get. But even on the trail just behind our house we can see the wildflowers come and go. Beauty is everywhere. Sometimes you just have to look for it.
