It's not just Aubrey and I that had to downsize when we moved. Padfoot needed to give up a bit of space too. So Aubrey spent most of the weekend turing this (otherwise known as mini-house)...

It's less than half the size. You have got to love the paw shaped window. And it rocks for northern comfort - fully carpeted and insulated (the original version had an arctic entry!). Aubrey modeled it after the shed we're going to build and he's going to paint it to match the house. And add shingles of course :-) We actually think Padfoot is happier in his new little place. He spent all day sitting in the yard, hanging out while Aubrey was working. He just loves to be close. Pretty cute, eh? 
It was so great to spend a weekend at home after being away the last two. We had the nicest day yesterday with some new friends Mark and Marissa. An afternoon hike with their adorable little baby girl, a yummy supper and chatting for hours. One of the best things about our new house is all the people we have met. Totally great neighbours.
The landscaping is starting this week! Can't wait for that. You can only imagine how much of that dirt gets tracked into our house by that dog. Good thing he's so cute :-)
